Responsibly made, from formula to frame.
A signature you smell and see every day should be no black box. So we account for it openly: how our scents are composed, how they are tested, and the choices we make across the whole chain, from the diffuser to the framed work.
Tested and documented
We check every formula against the IFRA standards and have the safety dossier that belongs to the product type drawn up before delivery.
Assessed for safety in advance
Before a scent goes up at your place, we have its formula assessed for safe use in a space where people spend time. Legislation changes continually; we keep track of it and adjust formulas whenever needed.
Without animal testing
We do not test on animals. When choosing raw materials we prefer materials without animal-derived ingredients.
A light base
Environmental impact weighs in when we choose the scent base. We prefer a base that biodegrades.
The equipment
When choosing diffusers, long life and low consumption are our starting point: equipment that lasts for years rather than a season, so as little as possible is discarded.
The scent liquid
A high-quality, economical liquid. Less consumption, less transport, less waste.
Art and frames
The artworks are printed on lightfast, durable material of museum quality. We judge every material on a test print first. What lasts does not need replacing.
Production and logistics
Where we can, we produce close to home, in the Netherlands and Europe, and consolidate deliveries so that as few transport movements as possible are needed.
Working more sustainably is an ongoing task for us: we keep reviewing and improving materials, equipment and logistics. Safeguarding compliance and safety is covered by the monthly amount, so a signature stays responsible for years to come.
